Endangered Big cats

Leopards

Leopards are constantly in danger of being killed for their skin or by farmers who consider leopards as a nuisance for their livestock.

They are, at the moment, doing quite well, with about 500,000 in the wild.

Their number's major decline was in the 1960s-1970s.

Iberian lynx

Iberian lynxes are the most endangered felines in the world. If they became extinct (which will probably be soon if we don't act now), they would be the first feline becoming extinct since the saber-toothed tiger (who disappeared around 10,000 B-C)

They are less than 500 individuals left in the wildness of South Spain.
